England in the 14th century was in crisis. 
Famine had torn through the country in the first half of the century & extreme weather had battered the residents' properties, ports and farms causing widespread damage, taking years to recover from. 
The black death had swept over the world killing an estimated 25 million people globally and half of England's population overall.
A poll tax was the final straw for the working people and contempt for the monarchy and the law makers began bubbling under the surface. When the king died and his 10 year old son took to the throne, the peasants knew what they had to do in order to convince the young boy that things needed to change.  However, this wouldn’t be a peaceful process, they wanted blood.

The Suffragettes were far more deadly than you think. These courageous and brave women set about learning how to fight war like men did and then, they beat them at their own game. Often dumbed down in later years, the suffragettes militant campaign was extensive, terrifying and effective. The Violent Female Terrorists That The IRA copied! | The EXPLOSIVE Fight To Win The Vote

300 women were penned into parliament square and thrown to the mercy of the male crowd and given the order to "Do with them as they wished" This violent assault lasted 6 hours and unarmed women were beaten, attacked and then arrested all because they wanted their cry of "Votes For Women" to be heard! On part 3 of our Suffragette series we take a look at the bitter battle of Black Friday and the turning point in the campaign to gain the female vote.

A Taxidermied Man Helped Women Get the Vote? | The Formation Of The Suffragettes

The Industrial Revolution was a new way of life for everyone. This new reign of machines heralded in a new era in workers rights or in fact highlighted that...there were none! Pair this with the fact that only 4000 men in England were allowed to vote, this meant working class people had no say in what happened to them and the only people who did, had no idea what it was like to be them. People had had enough and it was time to make their voices heard...this however would result in a battle which...well the outcome of which, isn't what you would expect.
