Due to me being a newbie at this some of this was muffled! Soooo sorry! However, the part that was muffled was the first reasoning, inflation. Because of inflation, in my example, $50 today would be more than that same $50 next year. Recap: the Time Value of Money (TVM) is legitimized due to inflation, the risk of defaulting in payment, and interest. Definitely research more if you are new to this topic.
