Before the tours, the prison sentence, and everything that followed, there was music.

In Part I — The Come Up, Eric Ellis takes us back to where his story began: growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, learning to play guitar by ear, discovering the local hardcore scene, and finding the sense of identity and belonging that music gave him.
