Jervas Dudley discovers an old family tomb of the Hyde's. He becomes obsessed with a belief that he is a descendent of this old and exalted family, leading to his fascination of one day resting within the old tomb.

"The Tomb" was written by H.P. Lovecraft in June of 1917, and was first published in the March 1922 issue of The Vagrant.
