In this powerful episode of The TOP Lessons Podcast, host Kathy Inglot sits down with globally touring artist, award-winning social entrepreneur, and disability culture leader Lachi for a deeply moving conversation about identity, access, and rewriting the narratives that shape our lives. From her expansive career across music, film, television, and advocacy to founding the U.N.-recognized organization RAMPD, Lachi shares how her journey as a legally blind creator has taught her that the real barrier isn’t disability, it’s social conditioning. She reflects on masking in the music industry, lessons she would tell her younger self, and the importance of embracing difference as a creative superpower. Lachi also opens up about completely losing her vision, the inspiration behind her new book, I Identify as Blind, the power of positivity in combating scarcity mindset, and what’s ahead in 2026 following her January 2026 book release, including new music, “Cornrows Reimagined.”
