Of the books that have impacted my view of personal finances over time, this one may take the cake. In The Total Money Makeover, Dave Ramsey lays out a straightforward strategy for how to get out of debt and live your best life financially. Much of what I try to teach you all in each episode is grounded in a Dave Ramsey financial tenant. This book, specifically, was the first book that I ever read to have a step-by-step plan for your personal finances that had no gimics and that was grounded in conservative financial ideologies.
