Built during the 2nd century AD, it stands on the 'Hill of Hercules,' guiding ships safely overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Originally named 'Farum Brigantium,' it served as a navigational aid for ships entering the Roman port of Brigantium, now A Coruña.
