Mark 6:14-29
In this week’s episode of The Way: The Gospel of Mark, we walk through Mark 6:14–29 and confront one of the most tragic trades in Scripture. King Herod had truth right in front of him—he listened to John the Baptist, feared him, and was even fascinated by his words. But when conviction collided with pride, reputation, and pressure from others, Herod made the trade. He chose approval over obedience, comfort over conviction, and ultimately silenced the voice that spoke truth into his life. This message challenges us to examine our own compromises and ask: What trade am I tempted to make? In a world that rewards comfort and image, we’re called to be more than fascinated with truth—we’re called to be devoted to it. Don’t trade the eternal for the temporary.
