I grew up in a home with a sister who is a childhood cancer survivor and I found that there was little support for the siblings of children diagnosed with a chronic condition.

I was also diagnosed with JRA (now JIA) at the age of 12 and felt alone in the fight against the condition that none of my peers could understand during my teenage years.
