Today we talk about the Trail of Tears. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 legislated the forced removal of of five Native American tribes in the southeastern states. These tribes, the Choctaw, Creek, Chickasaw, Seminole and Cherokee were forced to endure a brutal move across the nation to the Plains of present day Oklahoma. This story is brutal. I am joined by McNew from the ABV Network and we discuss just how significant this event was and go into detail on the some of the history surrounding removal of the five civilized tribes.
