This month, our focus is simple but foundational: We cannot give what we have not first received.

As teachers, we pour constantly — into students, families, coworkers, and communities. But love flows best from a heart that is rooted and renewed. In this Pause + Pray gathering, we center ourselves in the Father’s everlasting love, renew our minds through His Word, and commit to abiding daily so we can lead from overflow instead of exhaustion.

During this prayer experience, we:

• Receive and reflect on God’s everlasting love

• Renew our minds to see through His lens, not the world’s

• Commit to abiding daily through consistent time in His Word

• Pray from a place of being rooted — not reactive

• Lift up our students, classrooms, staff, and school environments

• Remember that we are not powerless — we carry His Word, and He dwells within us

This episode flows from something we recently walked through inside the Teaching With Jesus Community — a 3-day experience called A Sacred Pause.

Over those three days, we focused on:

1. Releasing what’s heavy
2. Slowing down enough to listen
3. Walking forward in obedience

But here’s what I’ve been realizing personally…

1. We can’t sustain obedience from burnout.
2. We can’t respond well from emptiness.
3. We can’t pour into our students from a place where we feel dry.
4. We can’t give what we haven’t first received.

And that’s where this next season is leading — learning how to receive the Father’s love before trying to give it away.

In this episode, I am sharing some personal and powerful reminders God has been giving me lately from moments in the classroom to quiet times at home. Some of them came through Scripture, others through conversations, tears, or even unexpected encouragement. But each one has pointed me back to the truth of who I am in Christ.

If you’ve been feeling weary, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, I want you to know this: God sees you. He’s strengthening you. And He’s walking with you through it all.

In today’s episode, I’m diving into the power of praying as a teacher. Depending on where you teach, you may not be able to pray out loud with your students but your personal prayer as a teacher can still make a difference. When you start your day with God and invite Him into your classroom through quiet, intentional prayer, everything begins to shift.

Prayer is where I surrender my plans, realign with God’s purpose, and receive the strength I need to lead with grace. And I want to remind you your prayers matter. They're shaping the atmosphere of your classroom before a single lesson is taught.

1. 🙏 What prayer really is and how it can guide your day

1. Set aside 5–15 minutes to pray each morning before class
2. Keep a running list of your students, coworkers, or situations to cover in prayer
3. Pray over your classroom door, desks, and materials inviting God's peace into every corner

Depending on where you teach, you may not be able to pray out loud with your students or speak your faith openly but you can still pray as a teacher. You can invite God in before the day begins and carry a spirit of prayer throughout your day. That quiet surrender? It can shift the entire atmosphere. You are a Kingdom teacher and your prayers are powerful.
