Growing up in the South, Chrystan was raised in a Christian household specifically Baptist, however her grandfather identified as agnostic. At the age of 16 Chrystan's grandfather introduced her to a book entitled The Egyptian Book of the Dead which sparked an interest of getting to know God and her lineage on her own terms.
