Ostrolenk speaks with Jim Turner, President of the National Institute for Science, Law, and Public Policy and a lawyer who has worked on health and food freedom issues. Turner offers that most arguments are bifurcated, leaving little room for agreement. Rather, issues should be seen through the transpartisan matix, which categorizes opinions both on their left-right nature and on their freedom-order nature. Turner presents how one might approach fundamental disagreements around food, technology, and vaccines through this lenses. Turner also discusses how many policy decisions concerning how society is going to run are made by an individual special interest within that society, and the negative impacts that this has.
