Sara Davis
Sara’s accomplishments are many. She was an All-American track and field athlete at UCLA. Since graduating, she has garnered over 25 years of experience as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor and certified athletic and wellness coach. As a speaker, she has empowered audiences both domestically and internationally to make positive life changes through holistic principles that encourage optimal living. Recently, Sara competed in the 2019 Mrs. Texas Pageant finishing as the fifth runner-up. However, for Sara, though her beauty, wisdom and knowledge are immediately apparent, there is much more to her than meets the “eye.” In today’s segment called The Treasures of Darkness, Sara will share what it’s like living with a handicap that no one can see, but affects every choice she makes. For about 23 years, Sara has been living with Macular Degeneration, an incurable eye disease that causes vision loss. Although this disease may have caused Sara to lose some of her “sight”, God has given her valuable “insight” into what it truly means to “walk by faith and not by sight” as she faces and conquers life’s daily challenges with Christ as her strength.
