The first-degree murder trial of Dean Penney is underway at Supreme Court in Corner Brook.

Penney is accused of killing his estranged wife Jennifer Hillier-Penney. The mother of two was 38 years old at the time of her disappearance from Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula more than nine years ago.
