In looking at the Trial of Jesus, we see we have more in common with Pilate, the governor of Judea, than we can imagine. As the crowd brings Jesus to Pilate for Jesus' trial, Pilate is faced with the question, "What shall I do with Jesus?" Pilate knows Jesus is innocent, but the crowd wants Jesus crucified. On the brink of a riot from the people, Pilate has to make the choice whether to stand on the truth or to stand on what is popular. Similar to Pilate, we have a decision to make every single day to choose whether we are going to stand on the Truth or stand on what's popular, what the world wants. What have you done with Jesus? Listen to this sermon from Palm Sunday 2021 in our Easter series called The Trial, The Death, The Day.
