You've accepted personal responsibility, identified those for whom you'd be responsible along with their personal needs, created a shelter in place plan for 14 days to provide the six animalistic requirements for those individuals and now you want to know what to plan for.
Scenarios are numerous and if you consider every possibility, there will be dozens. Research tells us that emergencies fall on a spectrum, from the most likely to the most dangerous. We believe that if you plan for the extremes, you plan of all other events.
The trifecta of plans incorporates three plans - the most likely event, the most dangerous event and loss of income. Losing your family's principal income source can be as impactful as losing the house to a fire or flood.
Preparedness is about being ready to navigate significant disruptions from exogenous shocks that are beyond your control - it is not limited to natural events like storms, hurricanes, earthquakes and floods.
Create a trifecta of plans, then you'll be ready for the vast majority of potential events.
