    I Kings 1 - Points us to the story of King David. David is old and has declared Solomon to be his successor.

    David’s other son, Adonijah has his own plans to takeover the throne and kill Solomon and his mother Bathsheba (daughter of the oath).

    David hears of the plan and does this:

    • He puts Solomon on a donkey and ride into Jerusalem

    • He calls for the Godly prophet Nathan, Godly priest Zadok & Godly advisor Beniniah to affirm his Solomons anointing

    • This declared he was the true king

      • This entry was the purest of Entry!

      The word hosanna comes from a Hebrew word meaning “save now” or “save us, we pray.” The first word of Psalm 118:25 is howosiah-na, translated “Save us!” and the crowd's use of this word at the triumphal entry was significant—especially as they waved palm branches

      • Psalm 118:25

        • The palm branch is a symbol of victory, triumph, peace, and eternal life originating in the ancient Near East and Mediterranean world.

        This is why He is declared as the “Prince of Peace” - Isaiah

        He was declared “the way, the truth and the life” - John14:6

        “We have victory through Jesus Christ” - I Corinthians 15:57
