Most people who have been in church for any length of time are familiar with the account of Jesus' Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. What most people do not know, however, is that another major event was taking place at the same time. Four days before Passover, Israel celebrated what was called the Day of the Lambs when each family would select the lamb that would be used for their Passover feast later in the week. The details of this event add another dimension to the Triumphal Entry to make even clearer what the people gathered there that day missed.
