Former President Trump is facing a new legal roadblock: he must post over $450 million for bond in his New York civil case due to fines for manipulating property valuations. If the former President is unable to secure the funds for the bond, the courts could move to seize his properties, like Trump Tower, as collateral in the case. Law professor at George Washington University Jonathan Turley joins the Rundown to explain why the judge in the case was able to hand down such a large penalty, why he feels that the fine is not proportional to the crime, and how some of the other legal cases against the former President could factor into the 2024 election.
The House voted 352-65 on a bill that would ban TikTok if their Chinese parent company, ByteDance, doesn’t sell the app to an American owner. Now, the bill awaits a vote in the Senate. President Joe Biden has vowed to sign the legislation if it makes its way to his desk, but TikTok users and influencers are now publicly lobbying against this legislation. Earlier this week, FOX News Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent Greg Palkot spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.
Palkot sat down with him Wednesday, just hours after the U.S. Congress approved a $95 billion foreign aid package, that includes $60 billion intended to assist his country in their ongoing war with Russia.

From Washington: Israel Balances Defeating Hamas & Protecting Innocent Civilians

A new study from researchers at Boston University says that language learning for those diagnosed with autism has better success when a diagnosis and therapy begins early. The early intervention has been shown to to improve cognitive, language and social function in children with autism. The CDC says that 1 in 36 children have autism, 4 in 100 in boys and 1 in 100 girls.

Supreme Court Weighs Arguments In Former President's Immunity Case

This week, President Biden signed a bill to force TikTok’s parent company ByteDance, based in China, to sell the rights to the app or be banned in the United States. ByteDance would have nine months to do make the sale. The TikTok CEO says that his company is 'going nowhere' and feels confident any ban would be defeated.
