Episode 9: No Good Deed: May 1st
Four months ago, I made a promise to myself: no more running.
In this episode, I trace the origins of my relationship with alcohol and the pain I spent years trying to outrun. What started as an escape slowly became a way of avoiding the conversations I needed to have with myself.
I take you through the evolution of three journals that changed my life pages that began as emotional dumping grounds but slowly transformed into clarity, accountability, and ultimately the blueprint for Letters From a Troubled Mind. They taught me that healing doesn’t begin when life gets easier. It begins the moment you’re honest enough to write the truth.
I also revisit the unexpected death of my coworker a man whose passing reminded me just how fragile life really is. His death became more than a loss; it became a wake-up call that forced me to ask what story I’d leave behind if tomorrow never came.
Then… we arrive at May 1st.
The day an act of compassion was repaid with betrayal.
The day I learned that not every sacrifice is appreciated, not every good deed is protected, and not every person deserves unlimited access to your heart.
This is the chapter that nearly broke me. The journal is what brought me back.
Welcome to Episode 9: No Good Deed May 1st.
A story worth telling. A message worth revealing.
