No matter what got you into enjoying Batman, from reading comics, watching the film franchises, playing the video games or all of the above, any fan should know how this amazing character came to be in DC Comics. This week Londyn and co-host Adam Silverstein are joined by Matt Kennedy, a world-renown fine art curator, author of Pop Sequentialism and the host of the Meltdown Comics podcast "Pod Sequentialism with Matt Kennedy" to discuss the history and undeniable controversy around the creation of the characters Batman, Robin the Boy Wonder and The Joker in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Kennedy also provides new historical evidence from his private collection that showcases concept panels and pages of the Joker by Jerry Robinson prior to his debut in Batman #1 in Spring of 1940. We dive into the first Batman team of Bob Kane, Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson, each of their testimonies of how these classically iconic comic book figures came to be and the incredible saga of receiving rightful credit over the last 75 years. Check it out in this amazing episode of History of the Batman with Londyn! Presented by Meltdown Comics!
