The Trump Harris debate.  Who won, and does it matter?

How did he do?
Donald Trump, according to his aides, intended to cast Kamala Harris as being too radical, and to link her to the Biden administration's unpopular policies.
He was strong on his condemnation of Kamala Harris but was repeatedly dragged off message where his efforts were often confused. He repeated a hilarious story about millions of immigrants ruining our country including a particularly dangerous group in Springfield who were catching pet cats and dogs and eating them.  Challenged, he said he had read the story in newspapers.

What were Harris’s objectives 
How did she do?
Her challenge tonight was to address those voters who say they don't know enough about her, or her policies.
She did this  well according to reputable commentaries...
