It has a financial incentive to promote this product in magazines, do scientific studies on the product and advertise the product. The net effect is that people believe that this product is getting so much attention because it's so good when really there are other products that are better but those products just don't make as much money. Therefore an inferior product might be constantly praised, studied and talked about not because it's really that great but because so much money is spent to promote it because it's a good moneymaker.
