- Grace - the undeserved favor we receive from God in the form of forgiveness and the hope of eternal life - is often talked about in sermons, but is still widely misunderstood. Many like to think of grace as a blank check to continue to live in whatever ways we might choose, while others fail to really accept God’s grace and are still trying to jump up to heaven based on their own performance. In truth, Grace works in concert with Truth (the real moral code and rightness in the universe) and we’re to balance these gifts from God to find our way through life. In Christ, we find the perfect example of living by both truth and grace.
