I had looked forward to this day the minute my daughter was born. 

I knew the minute I held her that I didn’t want to miss a moment. That I was in a field where I was expected to give more to my students than I was to my daughter.

I was so ready to leave, and I spent months finding a way to proclaim the title of a stay at home mom. Then the moment came to actually type my resignation letter. And well, it’s safe to say that it did not feel like I had envisioned it would.
