I. The True Source of Lying.

II. Painful Truth: Men Lie.

A. We are born liars and lying Ps. 58:3.

B. Even redeemed people have trouble with lying Isa. 59:4.

III. Lying is Destructive of Christian Testimony.

A. Our witness is required to be good to unbelievers Col. 4:5,6.

B. Lying destroys credibility before the saved 1 Tim. 3:6,7.

C. Lying is evidence of spiritual problems.

IV. Lying Must Be Replaced with Truth.

A. Because God is True Jn 14:6; Rom. 3:4; Titus 1:2

B. Because we are His truth-bearers Eph. 4:25.
