As believers, if you are curious about a meaning to a text in the scripture, Jesus encourages us to  seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. Knowledge from God is reserved to those who study themselves approved and want to improve their knowledge of him, so don’t just read and ignore things that don’t make sense. Instead be a detective and try to find out why. That’s how you become an active reader of scripture. Look for patterns, principles, and precepts. Making note of certain things, so you can refer back to it. Read to understand, instead of going through the motions.
