So often, humankind can have a habit of overlooking what matters. It's safe to say that humanity loves to challenge the status quo. Society has a habit of trying to do things on its own. Most of us obey the red light, right? When it says stop, we obey for the safety of others. That's just a simple and yet important law of obedience. When our parents tell us to do something, I would like to believe that many of us listen. It goes without saying that many of us have heard the saying "If you don't listen, you will feel." Obedience requires maturity and is also the acknowledgment of authority. Can we, as a society, ever admit that obedience is necessary in order for God to really move in our lives? God says "(He) opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble and oppressed." Can we be obedient and surrender our lives to Christ? It's a loaded question indeed.
