Excellent read

I loved this book. The style of writing took a bit of getting used to. It was a bit of Zora Nealâs Hurston and J. California Cooperâs style of writing in the vernacular so you have to get into that place where the speech pattern becomes a part of you. Once you get there, youâre actually living the experience along with the characters. It was such a vivid experience that in recounting a situation I read about in the book, I explained it as something I had actually seen unfold in a movie. It was only shortly afterwards that I realized it came from the book. I would love to see this book made into a movie. It would be on par with Mudbound if well acted.
