Accounts From a Lonely Broadcast Station — Part 9
The storm finally hits the mountain.
With the power failing and the fog escaping the forest, Evelyn and Daniel are forced to confront what their job actually means.
The broadcast isn’t entertainment.
It’s containment.
When the station goes dark, Evelyn heads into the fog alone to restart the generator—surrounded by the twisted remains of people and animals absorbed by whatever lives inside the mountain.
But restoring the electricity isn’t enough.
The radio still won’t start.
And that leaves one final instruction:
Rule #1: When the radio is down, activate The Bell.
For the first time, Evelyn discovers what that mysterious button actually does.
And somehow, Number Twenty-Eight and Number Twenty-Nine survive another night at 104.6.
Though the forest is still strange.
The calls are still coming.
And the bird outside the window now has a name.
Unfortunately.
Bartholomew.

Stay calm. Stay safe.
