HOW DID I TELL A GOOD STORY IN MY PRESENTATION?
Following the five template of a good storytelling (With example) according to Coach Robinkermode...聽
1.) Once upon a time there was (e.g Mrs. X founded a company)
2.) They used to do this (She had a vision and started a woman-based company)
3.) Then something happened/Change (She was approached to sell off the company}
4.)So they do this because of that action (She thought about it and decided not to sell it)
5.) This is the result of what happened (Now, her company is the fastest growing beauty company in Asia)
CAN YOU MAKE UP A STORY ?聽
Yes! you can make up a story (Not real) in your speech or presentation, but with a touch of authenticity and relevant to what you are discussing....
Does your story need to always have a positive outcome 聽or sweet ending so as to motivate your listeners/audience?
No. Your story should depend on the kind of emotion you are trying to portray as a speaker or Writer.
