In this week's episode of The Scarecrow Runner podcast I had the privilege to sit down and chat with @TheUltraRunningGuys - Jeff Winchester and Jeremy Reynolds from North Carolina. They are two awesome guys who have been building a great ultra running presence in Leeland, North Carolina and have also launched their own podcast since this recording. You can also check them out at their YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxRvpoB_QI-dkt5zD6HzHXg
Both guys started out as so many of us have, as non runners. They then eased their way into running in the OCR realm of Spartan racing and have sense embraced ultra running and the passion of long distance running. I enjoyed getting the opportunity to hear how both of them started running, how they came to know each other and bond as The Ultra Running Guys.
We also get to dive into their most recent event that both of them endured, The Halloween Hobble where Jeff took on the 100 mile event and Jeremy tackled the 24 hour event. Lo and behold a hurricane was brewing off the coast and drenched them with rain and eventually created crazy carnage on the race course. You'll have to listen in as both guys share their experiences.
