  • First Class, Business Class and Friendship

First Class, Business Class & Friendship

So… if your best friend has significantly more money than you, are they supposed to bring you along for the ride?

Savannah James and her friend April McDaniel sparked a conversation after it came out that Savannah was flying first class while April was flying business class. April said first class simply wasn’t in her budget, and she wasn’t expecting Savannah to pay for it.

But naturally, the internet had opinions.

In this episode, I’m giving my take on the whole situation: Would I personally buy my friend a first-class ticket if I could afford it? Absolutely. But does that mean my friend is entitled to it? Absolutely not.

We’re talking about friendship, money, generosity, boundaries, and that tricky line between “If I have it, you have it” and “I love you, but I’m not financially responsible for you.”

Because sometimes the real issue isn’t the airplane seat.

It’s the expectations we bring into our friendships when one person has a whole lot more money than the other.

So… whose side are you on?

  • Soooo….What TF Did We Learn? 👀

So… What TF Did We Learn? (From Reesa Teesa) 👀

We watched Reesa Teesa take the internet on a 50-part journey through her marriage, divorce, and the shocking discoveries she says she made along the way. But after all the “WHAT?!” moments, the real question is: what TF are we supposed to learn from all of this?

In this episode of the Unapologetic Reset Podcast, I’m talking about dating for potential instead of reality, ignoring red flags, the pressure women face to “find somebody” before they supposedly run out of time, and why women are so often blamed for the deception of the men who hurt them.

And yes… we’re talking about that viral question: “What’s your Plan B if nobody marries you?” 😂

Because, I have a Plan B, and it has nothing to do with finding a husband.

I’m also getting personal about my own experiences with dating for potential, overlooking red flags, and realizing that wanting companionship doesn’t necessarily mean wanting marriage or children.

This isn’t about judging Reesa Teesa. It’s about looking at her story, looking at ourselves, and asking the question we probably all need to ask sometimes:

So… what TF did WE learn?

🎙️ Listen now and let’s talk about it.

  • Before You Call Them “Couple Goals…” 👀

We see the pictures. The red carpets. The anniversary posts. The matching outfits. The romantic captions. And suddenly… they’re “couple goals.” 👀

But what happens when the cameras stop rolling and the picture-perfect relationship makes breaking news for all the wrong reasons?

In this episode of Unapologetic Reset, we’re taking a funny but honest look at why we glorify celebrity relationships, put couples on pedestals, and sometimes convince ourselves that we know what happens behind closed doors. From shocking breakups and divorces to the reality of comparing our relationships to somebody else’s highlight reel, we’re asking the question:

Before you call it “couple goals”… do you really know what you’re looking at?

Because a beautiful picture can tell you what someone wants you to see. It doesn’t necessarily tell you the whole story.

🎙️ Before You Call It “Couple Goals…”

  • I Don’t Date Men With Female Besties! 🛑 ✋🏽

In this episode, I’m talking about one of my biggest dating dealbreakers: the female best friend.

Blair Underwood’s love story got me thinking about what happens when a longtime friendship eventually turns into romance, and why, personally, I am not signing up for that situation. 😂

We’re talking about the “she’s like my sister” explanation, the “we’ve been friends forever” defense, the woman who somehow knows everything about you, and why I’m not interested in competing for the position of woman who knows you best.

And before anybody gets offended: I’m not saying men and women can’t be friends. I’m saying I know ME. And I know what I’m willing to deal with in a relationship.

So if you’re a man getting ready to tell me, “But that’s my female bestie…”

    Please don’t. 😂

This one is funny, unapologetic, and completely me. Press play!

  • Beyoncé Is Selling Her Box??? 😮

    Okay… wait a minute. Beyoncé is selling a COLLECTOR’S box for nearly $1,000! 😂

But this episode isn’t about dragging Beyoncé or deciding whether her box is worth the money. It’s about something much bigger: the power of celebrity branding and marketing.

How can celebrities get us to spend money on things we didn’t even know we needed? And what can everyday entrepreneurs, authors, podcasters, and small-business owners learn from it?

As an author who knows firsthand how difficult it can be to market a book, I break down the huge advantage celebrities have: an established audience, trust, recognition, and years of building a personal brand.

Because maybe the lesson isn’t that we need to become Beyoncé.

Maybe it’s that we need to learn how to make people care about what we’re creating.

So… would YOU spend nearly $1,000 on Beyoncé’s box? 👀

    Let’s talk about it!

  • The Audacity of Thinking My Best Years Are Behind Me

The Audacity of Thinking My Best Years Are Behind Me

(Listen all the way to the end)

Who decided that our best years have an expiration date?

At 49, I’m taking a hard look at the idea that getting older means our biggest dreams, greatest opportunities, and most exciting chapters are behind us. In this episode, I’m talking about starting over, starting from experience, comparing our timelines to other people’s, and learning to see our current circumstances as temporary, not permanent.

I don’t have everything figured out. But I’m still dreaming. Still creating. Still making plans. Still becoming.

And maybe your best years aren’t behind you either.

Maybe… you’re just getting to the good part. ❤️

  • Overconsumption, Marketing and Discipline

Are we really buying too much? Or have we simply become really good at being marketed to?

In this episode, I am talking about the psychology behind marketing, social media influence, overconsumption, and why we often feel like what we already have isn’t enough. From “must-have” products and influencer recommendations to buying things because we’re bored, stressed, insecure, or trying to become a better version of ourselves, we’re taking a closer look at what’s really driving our spending.

But this conversation isn’t about blaming companies for everything. It’s about personal responsibility, awareness, and DISCIPLINE.

Because marketing can convince us that we need something, but ultimately, we decide whether we buy it.

So before you make your next purchase, ask yourself: Do I actually want this, or did somebody convince me that I do?

Let’s talk about becoming more intentional consumers, learning to appreciate what we already have, and realizing that sometimes the new version of you isn’t something you can buy; it’s someone you have to become.

  • Your Environment Matters

In this episode, I speak about how your environment is important when in comes to your entire life. It’s very important to put yourself in environments that nurture your goals, your feelings, your thoughts and your needs.

Your environment includes your space, the people around you, what you consume, you, city, state, job, etc. All of those things must align and nurture you.

    Let’s talk about it.

  • Has Social Media Desensitized Us?

In this episode, I dive into a solo conversation about a subject that I feel needs a closer look.

When is the last time you saw something horrifying on media and said, “Dannng that’s crazy.” And kept scrolling like it was nothing?

Can you eat while watching something filled with gore on social media?

Have you ever thought that some traumatic things should really be left off of social media?

After I watched a very horrifying event unfold on social media with a popular celebrity blogger, it raised my concern about this.

I give my full and honest opinions in this episode. Feel free to comment.
