What if this gets to be easy?
That's the question I want her asking when she gets stuck.
Because she's naturally going to look for the lowest-lift path. The easiest way this could actually work.
Not 47 possible solutions.
Not every hole that could go wrong.
Not another giant list of things to fix.
Just... how could I let this be easy?
And then there's the very real problem of trying to do creative work while the kids are home.
We got into what happens when your brain wants freedom around what you work on, but you still need clear steps once you've picked the thing.
Which means her Tuesday and Thursday routine might need to look a little different than a traditional “here's exactly what you're doing all day” schedule.

If you're a Generator who's struggling to make space for meaningful work while managing kids, family responsibilities, and a full business, this Human Design coaching redo gets into the specific work style that can make that easier. Alyssa looks at Generator energy, delegation, creative work, and the need to follow what actually lights you up rather than forcing yourself through work that drains you.
We also get into Human Design work style, flexible work environments, choosing priorities, step-by-step project plans, and the question that can help shift the way you approach a stuck problem: “What if this gets to be easy?”
Nope - you don't actually have to choose between the business you want and the life you want.
That's what the Business Cleanout is for.
You send me the messy version of your business, your responsibilities, your projects, your team, your life.
I'll take your whole pile and turn it around within 30 days.
Because you don't need to spend another month trying to make everything fit.
You need to see what can change so you can crush the goals you've been dreaming about and still be there for the kids.

You’re allowed to want more free time.
Unrushed mornings. Actual lunch breaks. Evenings filled with things you enjoy. A house where you’re not the one managing every single detail.
And you’re allowed to want all of that while still being ambitious about your business.
But nobody’s going to magically show up and decide you need more support. Your kids aren’t suddenly going to start doing the dishes. Your team isn’t going to spontaneously take over the responsibilities you’ve never actually handed off.
You have to decide what you want your life to look like, then start figuring out what needs to change to make it happen.
In this episode, I’m walking you through how to get specific about your actual dream life, identify what’s missing, and start taking practical steps toward building it.
Because you don’t have to keep waiting for things to get easier. You can start making them easier.

If you're an ambitious business owner and mom who wants more time, more support, and more room to actually enjoy the life you're working so hard to build, this episode is for you. Maybe you want unrushed mornings with your kids, time for your own interests, fewer household responsibilities, or a business team that can handle more without everything running through you.
In this episode, Alyssa explores work-life balance, business growth, delegation, motherhood, household management, and the practical steps involved in creating a life that fits what you actually want. We get into defining your own version of an ideal day, identifying the support you need at home and in your business, finding the people who can take responsibilities off your plate, and making decisions that create more breathing room.
Because wanting a different life is one thing. Building the support, systems, and structure that make it possible is where things start to change.
Nope - you don't actually have to choose between the business you want and the life you want.

“What can I do to fix this problem?”
That question might sound like a recipe for making yourself crazy.
But for her? It's actually how her brain naturally engages with things.
She sees the problem. She pokes at it. She starts looking for the thing that could make it work better.
So we don't need to turn that off - but we do need to stop treating it like a character flaw. 😂
And then there's the other interesting piece: she likes structure around when she works, but once she's inside the project, she wants to follow whatever feels like the next thing.
So yes to the recurring Tuesday task - no to the 20-step checklist telling her exactly which step she has to do next. 😂

If you're a Manifesting Generator who naturally spots problems, inefficiencies, and things that could work better, this Human Design coaching redo looks at how that tendency can become an actual strength. Alyssa gets into Manifesting Generator energy, multi-focus work, delegation, and the difference between problem-solving as a natural way of engaging and getting trapped in negativity.
We also get into Human Design work style, structured time blocks, flexible project execution, workspace preferences, and the specific combination of wanting certain tasks scheduled while still needing freedom to decide what the next step is once you're inside the work.

She had 3 and a half hours with no client... and had no idea what she wanted to do with them.
So we started talking about whether she needed more freedom.
And then her chart basically said: Maybe you need a menu. 😂
You know, like pre-chosen things you already know you enjoy. Projects. Tasks. Possibilities.
Then you get to look at the list and go, “Ooh. THAT sounds fun today.”
Which is a very different kind of “in flow” than just staring at a blank afternoon and hoping inspiration shows up.
And because she's a Manifesting Generator, there's another layer here - she needs enough things going on that she actually enjoys.
So if you've been trying to narrow yourself down to ONE thing and wondering why you're bored?
We may have found something. 😂

If you're a Manifesting Generator with lots of interests who sometimes has plenty of time but no clear idea what would feel good to do with it, this Human Design coaching redo explores a more supportive way to structure your workday. Alyssa looks at multi-focus energy, delegation, productivity, and why standard advice about narrowing your focus may not fit.
We also get into pre-chosen tasks and projects, structured time blocks, step-by-step plans, workspace preferences, and the question: “How can I detach & treat this like an experiment?”

What if you're not supposed to be “on” every day?
That's one of the biggest things we got into here.
Because as a Manifestor, you might have a day where you're absolutely lit up and ready to make something happen.
And then... nothing.
No desire. No energy. No interest in doing the thing.
Except maybe something fun. 😂
So instead of trying to force a consistent amount of output every single day, this reading gets into what it could look like to build around those burst/rest cycles.
Which, of course, requires a whole lot of delegation.
Because somebody still has to answer the messages, clean the house, handle the details, and make sure everything is ready for the next burst.

If you're a Manifestor who swings between feeling intensely inspired and having very little desire to work, this Human Design coaching redo looks at why a conventional full-time work rhythm may create unnecessary pressure. Alyssa gets into Manifestor energy, burst/rest cycles, delegation, batching, and creating enough support at home and in the business to protect creative and productive bursts.
We also get into structured work rhythms, flexible project execution, working wherever inspiration strikes, and the question that can help create more space around what you're trying to accomplish: “How can I detach & treat this like an experiment?”

She spent almost 14 hours dealing with tiny pop-up tasks.
Fourteen. Hours.
And none of that time was actually accounted for in the schedule. 😯
So of course the things she really wanted to do kept getting pushed to the bottom.
You know, writing. Drawing. Resting…. The stuff that's actually for her.
And this is where the reading got really interesting, because her chart isn't telling her to just “be more flexible” - she wants certain things happening at certain times - but once she's in the project, she wants to follow the next thing her brain sees.
That's a pretty specific setup.

If you're a Generator who gets swallowed up by pop-up tasks, appointments, family needs, and endless little things that seem too small to schedule, this Human Design coaching redo looks at the structure that may help protect your actual work. The database was out of date.
And suddenly this wasn't just a database problem - it was a “how do I make this feel easy enough that I’ll actually do it?” problem.
So we started there.
Because her brain naturally wants to know: Do we have enough time for this? Do we have the right support? Is this actually sustainable? What happens if I add this to the week?
That isn't her being fearful or difficult - it's her internal security meter doing exactly what it's designed to do.
And then we got into the very specific way she wants to work: tidy environment, predictable timing, but freedom to decide what happens next once she's actually inside the project.

If you're a Manifesting Generator who has a growing list of things to manage and keeps wondering whether you actually have the time, support, or capacity to take something else on, this Human Design coaching redo explores the security questions underneath that hesitation. Alyssa gets into Manifesting Generator energy, delegation, multi-focus work, and the role of internal security when deciding what belongs in the business.

What if the “easier” version of your business isn't some unicorn life you have to figure out how to force into existence??
What if it's just what naturally happens when you stop working against yourself?
Because maybe you don't need the 14-step morning routine.
Maybe you do your best work alone.
Maybe you need to work from the sofa.
Maybe you need to change the plan when your brain says, “Actually, THIS is what I want to work on today.”
And that's not you being difficult - that's you being YOU.
So let’s talk about what happens when you set up your business, your workflows, your team rhythms, and even your family life around the way you're actually wired to operate.
Because you were made differently on purpose.
And Human Design comes into this one in a very practical way.

What if your business feels harder than it needs to because you've organized your work around someone else's idea of how you're supposed to work? Maybe you've been trying to stick to rigid routines, force yourself into a particular schedule, or build systems that look great on paper but make you want to crawl out of your own skin.
In this episode, Alyssa gets into Human Design for business, including work style, energy, productivity, business workflows, team rhythms, and the way you naturally operate. We look at what can happen when you use Human Design as a practical lens for designing your business and your work around the way you're actually wired.

She already knew time blocking worked - she just wasn't using it.
And the question wasn't really, “How do I make myself be more disciplined?”
It was: What would make this feel like something I get to do?
Because her chart actually wants structure.
A tidy workspace. Certain things happening at certain times. Step-by-step plans ready to go.
But here's the part that makes this interesting…. She doesn't want the schedule to decide everything for her.
She wants to be able to look at that time block and choose which priority gets to go in it.
So her answer isn't throwing out the schedule - it's giving herself a little more room inside that structure.

If you're a Generator who knows time blocking works but still struggles to stick with a rigid schedule, this Human Design coaching redo looks at how to create structure without turning your workday into a list of things you “have to” do. Alyssa gets into Generator energy, delegation, sustainable work rhythms, and the difference between having structure and having every priority predetermined.

What do you need to feel more secure about this?
That’s the question I want her asking when she feels stuck.
Because her brain is naturally going to look around the corner.
That “yes, but have you considered THIS?” thing isn't a problem to get rid of - it’s how she’s designed to make decisions.
And then we got into her workday... which is where things get REALLY interesting.
She needs the freedom to decide what she wants to work on….
But once she picks the thing? Give her the darn checklist.
She just doesn't want someone else deciding which project she should be working on at 10:00am Tuesday morning. 😂

We also get into Human Design work style, workspace preferences, choosing priorities, step-by-step project plans, and the surprisingly specific combination of wanting freedom around what you work on while still wanting structure around how you actually approach the work. From the publisher's feed
You're ambitious. You want the money, the challenge, the launches, the strategy, the satisfaction of figuring out a hard problem and thinking, yep, I nailed that.
So how did…
Working all day and still not getting to the thing you actually wanted to do. Feeling pulled in a million directions. Putting your own projects off again. Being the CEO of your business and somehow also the COO of everybody else's life.
‘Cause you can make the launch work. The kids' schedules work. The team work. The Sunday night work. The vacation-with-the-laptop work.
You can make almost anything work.
Until you look up and think... wait. Why am I doing all of this?
I'm Alyssa, and I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to build a business I love without making my entire life revolve around keeping it running.
On The Unbusy Mom, we're going to question some of the things you've probably accepted as just how business works.
We'll talk about motherhood, ambition, Human Design, time management, delegation, productivity.... And the invisible responsibilities that make your business feel heavier than it needs to be.
I.e., what actually has to change when you want a business AND a life. Because I don't think you're here to prove how much you can carry.
Because I don't think you're here to prove how much you can carry.
You wanted it all - business AND kids.
So you’re going to have to make some changes to the structure of the one you've already got.
