It may seem strange to think that Platonic philosophy propelled Christianity into a position of offering an intellectually rigorous account of reality. But at the dawn of the middle ages, through Saint Augustine of Hippo, that's exactly what happened. In this episode, we'll trace a direct line from Plato to Augustine and show how Augustine takes reason and reconciles it to faith.
