Marion joins Henry to discuss what it’s like being old. Everyone is living longer, yet few talk about what that will entail. The struggles and the adversity, in particular. Whilst she experiences loneliness and melancholy, Marion talks about filling her life with new activities and interests to stave off these feelings.

The pair then drift into memories of the previous century comparing parenting styles, childhood freedoms and the lives of youths.

It may not be the most uplifting of episodes, but it will certainly offer a perspective from a seldom-heard member of society.
