Today we're in Mark chapter six. John the Baptist was the forerunner of Christ, sent ahead to prepare the way for the Lord. All around the world Christians are being persecuted for their faith, and we’re even seeing that here in America in growing measure. But remember Jesus said In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world! As we look together at the death of John the Baptist, and how he was faithful even to the very end of his life, allow this to encourage your heart today. That no matter what comes our way, God will be with us, and can help us to remain faithful too.
