June First Five
Episode 6.0 (The Unsigned Countdown)
Written by Jason Roeseke
Welcome back bands and fans to an all new Countdown. We at The Unsigned Countdown are constantly searching for the best independent and unsigned talent that this planet has to offer. Please sit back and relax while your earballs do the listening, your brain does the comprehending, and your neck does all of the work because we have got a great list of R.A.M.P musicians, bands, and artists waiting here for your listening pleasure.
Kicking off the show at number ten is Sickist with their mood altering hit "The Art of Vanishing". Once you find yourself eveloped in their gothic tones and interesting use of affects you'll find it hard to believe that it's an instrumental. Come get lost in the world that Sickist has created for you. At number nine we move forward to Alchemy Room and their epic song "Obsession Red Blood". A slow starter with an abundance of great guitar, wild Keyboard, and Superior vocals. If you can survive the length of this melodic track you will eventually be rewarded with a faster pace in the second half. Moving up the countdown and across the pond we reach our number eight feature. Umbrella Assassins bring us their garage punk track "Nose Blower". Nothing overly complicated here. Chunky guitar riffs with vocals to match fill the air in this tune, and I for one was left eagerly wanting more. At number seven in our talent packed broadcast is Behold Triumph and their sledgehammer of a track "Society Made Us". Emotional vocals with intense overtones, unrelenting guitar and a non stop pace is what you'll get when you allow this song into your head. Finally wrapping up our First Five is "Tribulation" by Lions among Wolves. You should be warned before hand to put on a cup when listening to this musical assault. The perfect blending of tones, killer drums, and a style of guitar that you've yet to here from any other featured band in our podcast might just leave your earballs blown. The offsetting vocals are truly impressive and this group surly has a bright future in the world of music.
We thank you for listening to our first June show. Come back next week for even more fun and excitement as the judges will be sitting down together to explain why these songs were ranked the way they were. As always please support these talented independent and unsigned musicians, bands, and artists. Thats really what this project is all about.
