Hey there bands and fans. Welcome to another great month for music. This for those just joining us is The Unsigned Countdown. A broadcast built by fans of hard and heavy unsigned music. We search the globe for talented musicians bands and artists. We request or feature their tracks, and we send it back out to that planet in a Countdown form.
In this installment we bring you competition with in the competition. We cross pollenate genres and loved every minute of it. Kicking of our First Five is a great secret. We have Edge of Gorgon with their track Edge of Gordon. Who are these black metal enforcers and why must they be so brutal? This straight line is packed with raw vocals and speed. Following that is where our mini battle erupts with Anthropomorphic Soul and another dep dark song simple called Invictus. This track reminds me of what a bag of firecrackers would sound like if fireworks could make great music. Kekal comes crashing in all the way from Indonesia. this extreme of progressive alternative admittedly took some getting used to with the high pitched vocals and in your face synths, but once I found layers of great guitars and a full soundscape hiding with in I could hardly get enough. Moving past that we arrive at a fairly straight forward raw post punk track by Michael Marrotti. Be yourself brins a great message, Actual bass as a feeature sound and those raw vocals that leave no doubt of the emotion behinf them. And wrapping up this weeks featured First Five is a band from Argentina, Its rock, it's fun, and I have no idea what is being said. With good music though I don't think that matters and I find myself loving the entire sound of this track.
