Cicada 3301 is an organization that has posted a set of three puzzles on the internet that has yet to be completely solved to recruit codebreakers from the public. Elisa Lam was a 21-year-old tourist whose 2013 disappearance and death at the Cecil Hotel received widespread attention. Her death was ruled accidental, but there are still unanswered questions about what happened to her.
