  • Awakening the Lioness

So I posted about Holy Rage yesterday. Normally when I write a post, it just flows through me and gets posted. But that one took days. I was hyper-focused on the exact words, the proper phrasing - every syllable needed to be correct. And it’s not that I don’t normally care about those things; it is more that I usually just trust in the words that flow through, that they are the words needed, the medicine that is meant to be administered in that moment. I allow my Knowing to supersede my intellect. And I’m a grammar geek, so I tend to think and process information in a grammatically correct way, and I deeply trust that pathway within myself. I’m doing it now, words spilling out free and easy. But the past few days, not so much.

After I hit publish, I went to my favorite cafe and had a light supper, during which I pondered just what was it that had me so clenched. A cold beer and some soul searching later, I realized my hesitancy was not around what I had written. Those words express what I am feeling - the frustration, the anger, the longing for humanity to awaken to our own luminosity and end this abhorrent and predatory paradigm we navigate daily. No, my inner, unspoken reluctance was that I knew that everyone could hear my rage IN MY VOICE when I spoke those words aloud. A voice that had been involuntarily modulated for years, until I learned to “control my temper”. A voice I then self-modulated because, frankly, I’m not stupid, and I realized that tempering my voice got me further than losing my temper. Or did it? The jury is still out on that.

As I listened to the recording, I had such a disquiet fill me. I could hear my rage simmering in each word, like a pot about to boil, jostling the lid but never quite blowing it off completely. I felt how uncomfortable I was with the sound, the physical sound, of my own anger. For all the years I have intentionally deconstructed my rage into something productive, the sound of it still held a certain sway. In the past I would have just scrapped the whole post, deemed it “too much” and kept the feelings inside of myself, as years of conditioning taught me to do. Yesterday I healed something deep inside of me by hitting publish, by sharing my imperfect, angry tone. Even at that I was still holding back. The hint of anger which I revealed is only the tip of the iceberg of my rage. There is a line in The Waterboys song “She Tried To Hold Me” (written by the brilliant Mike Scott) that sums up how I felt on hearing myself.

With a cyclone raging underLike she was skin surrounding thunder

Fitting that for years friends have called me K-Storm. Thunder indeed. I knew I needed to share this with you, because if my tone made me uncomfortable, I suspect it may have done the same for some of you. And for that I am deeply grateful. It is beyond time that as women, especially, that we become not only comfortable with, but in mastery of, our expressions of anger. I know the power my voice holds. As an oracle and spiritual teacher, a healer, I know the power of frequency and resonance. I know the power of what flows through me when I channel or transmit light language. And I now know that it is not for me to modulate any of it. I am reclaiming my roar. It is as integral to the symphony as my whisper or my soothing song.

If you are ready to reclaim your roar, The Lioness Salon is gathering. A space for women to speak their rage, their truth, their vulnerability - and be fully heard. DM me for details. More to follow.

    As always, much love. 🩵

Oracle Cards (from the Sacred Destiny Oracle by Denise Linn):

    ✨ Illumination

    🌀 Focus

    ✨ Potential

I usually work with multiple decks, but today was called to use just the Sacred Destiny Oracle. Leading off is the Illumination card, which showed up for us last week as well. It is clear that Spirit is calling us to see through the mists of misdirection and reconnect with our Knowing, and our awareness of how we are all one. As we sharpen our focus on what is truly heart-centered, we activate a deeper potential, one that supports our creativity and connection to each other. Together we can co-create a very different paradigm, but we need our collective luminosity honored in order to do so. Much love. 🩵

  • Our Holy Rage

The world is on fire, with chaos and cruelty exposing itself around every corner. From policies that institutionalize corruption to institutionalized violence that has become the norm, we are in the grip of a paradigm that is fracturing under its own hubris. In moments, it is f*****g terrifying. In others, I think “just burn it all down”. Let the ash of the patriarchy dissolve into the earth, to be consumed by the Mother and reborn as a new way of Being, a way of compassion, equity, love, and kindness.

In the Egyptian pantheon, Sekhmet is one of the fierce Neteru, the daughter of Ra sent to rid humanity of those who were rebelling against Ra’s sacred order. A Divine lioness in form, she developed a thirst for blood that stoked an unbridled rage, unleashing destruction so widespread that she was only subdued by disguising beer as blood, of which she drank copious amounts to slake her thirst and render her unconscious. When talking about Sekhmet, the remover of obstacles, most people focus on the rage, as it demonstrates the enormous power that level of energy represents.

Yet the aspect of this story I can’t shake is the way by which she was subdued in order to disconnect her from her rage. I keep thinking of how prevalent it still is that women are subdued - by others and by themselves. We are collectively seeing the sheer violence of this in its most extreme and abhorrent form, when women are the victims of drugging and heinous violation, for which there is no excuse. An external, violent means applied to subdue, to rend women from the essence of their sacred femininity by denigrating and diminishing body and spirit so brutally. Sekhmet represents an aspect of feminine power that unchecked was destroying everything. Yet why did she rampage in the first place? What set off her rage? She was sent to rid the world of those who had stopped trusting in the Cosmic Order, or Ma’at. As Ra grew weak, humans abandoned the order that maintained the balance of existence, and began to devolve into chaos. Sound familiar? The Divine Feminine was sent to restore order, by her own means. When those means got out of hand, Sekhmet was rendered unconscious, disconnected from the rage that had fueled her. For millennia, patriarchy has been rendering women unconscious to keep us from our power. Through brute force, through institutions, through systems and structures designed to keep us pacified while those in power enjoy the benefit of our bodies and our labor.

Remaining entrenched in these systems is the equivalent of shackling ourselves to the radiator in a burning house. And there is an insidious and subtle way in which we as women have voluntarily, albeit somewhat unwittingly, relinquished our power. The distraction economy is fueled by the unexpressed emotions of women. Retail therapy, Rosé all day, scrolling, binging Netflix, subscriptions for every “must have” thing, our means of connection becoming more and more monetized (pickleball and mahjong, pricey spa days or retreats, etc.) - all of this to anesthetize ourselves through distraction. Had a bad day at work - buy a little something to feel better. And while you peruse Etsy for a few more crystals (I write what I know - I have four rather large bins full in storage!), why not have some wine and snacks and then spend what’s left of your hard earned cash on therapy or supplements or concierge medicines to “fix” your weight problem, your nutrition issues, your unexpressed f*****g rage at working it all, managing it all, and being valued only for that which you produce? I wrote the book on that as well. And god forbid you don’t produce offspring - that relegates you to second class woman status immediately, so you’d best be useful at work. The cycle of women making themselves indispensable only to be rendered disposable in a heartbeat by the hands of mediocrity - it needs to end. Who profits from our silence? Who profits from our unspoken rage? Who profits from women carrying water for the patriarchy at the expense of other women? Who profits from women “knowing their place”, being “demure”, staying silently golden? The meek shall inherit the earth, but the raging lioness decides what earth is left unscorched to be inherited.

I spent thirty years of my life choking on a rage I could not name. The inexplicable health issues, the deep-rooted fatigue, the dissociation, the self-medication, the constant looking outside of myself for a way to “fix” what I perceived as broken, when in fact all I needed was to drink from the cup of my holy rage. Rage at being ignored, dismissed, disrupted, having my young personhood intruded upon, violations both gross and subtle, the details of which are less important and fail to center the pervasive damage caused by my chronically unexpressed anger. And at this point in my life, living a spiritual framework that informs me daily, I have serious frustration with those who believe anger is somehow less than spiritual or some affront to our Divine nature. Quite the opposite. It is the tool we have available when our humanity loses focus on our Divinity, when our human behavior, our complacency, and our reliance on old structures that serve only our subjugation need a wake-up call. Holy rage is rage that remembers what it serves. Sekhmet was sent to restore Ma'at, and her fury was sacred while in service of that balance; the destruction began when her rage went blind and lost sight of its purpose, drunk on power and an unquenchable thirst.

What will it take? What level of heinous will galvanize women to un-cuff themselves from the radiator, unleash their voices, their will, their rage? What is enough? What will it take to realize that participating in the system simply props up the system? That protecting your peace may be all well and good, but when chaos starts hammering on your door there will be no denying it entry. The evil that exists does not give a s**t about your “peace”. But it will quite happily take advantage of your avoidance.

A year ago I left a life of creature comforts that was suffocating me. A lot of people laud me for my bravery in doing so. It is not brave to fill your lungs with as much air as you can hold until the next breath comes, and to keep doing that until you can breathe freely again. It is survival. It is what women for centuries have done, women who have had violence inflicted upon them, living life one shaky breath at a time. It is beyond time we start living like our lives depend on it, because they do. That we clear out all of the superfluous b******t that this social media driven, influencer “culture” has been selling as a good life, and find each other. Nothing changes if nothing changes. We can never be free inside a cage we willingly call home. Luxor is my freedom, my lungs filled with air and my soul enlivened by the ancient and eternal web of energy, realigning with the cosmic order. Where is your freedom?

When Sekhmet awoke from her stupor, Ra had decided to let humans restore that order on their own, and basically retired from humanity. Another aspect of Sekhmet remained, however, as the one who removes obstacles is also the one who is a profound healer, restoring what has been disrupted back to balance, to Ma’at. Let our holy rage burn away all that needs to be cleared, and trust in ourselves to begin reestablishing the cosmic order in this new paradigm that is emerging. Choose to disconnect from the systems, the frameworks that keep you frozen in the chaos, hyper-adrenalized and unable to take a breath. Choose to take the steps needed to restore true harmony, to move toward each other in meaningful ways. It is time to set aside the comforts that cripple us, that keep us tethered to our own complacency, to our illusion of safety. It is time to render obsolete the obstacles that litter our way to freedom. It is time to awaken. It is time to roar.

    Blessed be.

    Oracle Cards:

✨ Starfish Sprit: The Spirit Animal Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 The Owl: The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

✨ Illumination: Sacred Destiny Oracle by Denise Linn

The cards today offer a beautiful reflection of our radiance, our wisdom, and the power of our connection to All That Is. What will you choose to see when you look out into the world? When humanity reveals its worst, look deeper to see where Grace is at work as well. Only Light can extinguish darkness. May Love prevail. Blessed be.

Our cards today are Starfish Spirit, The Owl, and Illumination. Notice the starfish, its body open to receive the infinite wisdom, the infinite possibility. Of all that is. It is easy now to be distracted. To be in fear. To want to close up. To close your heart, your mind. To look at anything outside of yourself as other.

To be fearful. But now is the time to open. Now it is more important than ever to open, to open your heart, to open yourself, your soul, to the knowing, to the wisdom that lies within the shadow. To see with the eyes of the owl. To see through the darkness. To see all that still remains.

Behind the veil. Behind the mists. See with clear eyes the connection. The depth and breadth of the ocean. That the mist rising from the lake is the same water that rains down, that replenishes the earth. That we are all in an infinite cycle of rising and falling, of birth and rebirth, of death and renewal.

It is time to release old patterns, old judgments, old limitations. To forgive misperceptions and judgments. And to stand once again with our hearts open wide to the universe in the full trust, in the full knowledge of Who We Are. We are divine beings having a human experience. We embody our humanity so we may know our divinity.

    Blessed be.

    Oracle Cards:

✨ The Eagle: The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Mother of the Salt Waters: The Healing Waters Oracle by Rebecca Campbell

✨ Rain: Earth Magic Oracle by Steven D. Farmer

I was called to some old favorites today for our reading. The Wisdom of Avalon was one of the first decks I worked with, many moons ago. It is still providing a powerful bridge to the unseen realms. Let integrity, insight, and love guide us today. Blessed be.

Today’s cards are the Eagle, Mother of the Salt Waters, and Rain. It’s time to see beyond. It’s time to see from a higher altitude. It’s time to shift our perspective, our focus. See through the eyes of Eagle. See from the spiritual realm. See from the perspective of all that is. From altitude, see the minutia, see the details.

See with discernment. What is yours to carry? What is important? What is insignificant? See through eyes of love. Even in the midst of the chaos, the anger, the rage and the sorrow, the grief, connect to the ocean of love within you, the ocean of love that you are. Open your heart when you most want to close it.

Connect to the wildness of your heart, to the wildness of your essence, to the passion that drives you, that stirs your soul. It may be buried. It may be difficult to see. Regain the altitude. To see what it is you love. How love inspires you. It is time to reclaim that love.

To allow it to wash over you. To purify you. Welcome the reign of love. Look inside. Allow what is held tightly to release. Allow tears of grief to wash away. Allow tears of joy to fill you, to replenish. Like cascading rain, allow love to purify your heart. To bring peace, to nourish, to acknowledge what is and what can still be if you are willing to open your heart. And so it is.

    Oracle Cards:

✨ Net Caster: The Shaman’s Dream Oracle by Alberto Villoldo & Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Towering Magnificence: Journey of Love Oracle by Alana Fairchild

✨ Bright Heart Light: The Priestess of Light Oracle by Sandra Anne Taylor & Kimberly Webber

🌀 Elves: The Sacred Forest Oracle by Denise Linn

I am feeling called again to share oracle guidance in this space. Hoping you find as much inspiration from the cards as I do. This is the heart of my daily practice, and channeling the wisdom of Spirit is my small contribution to anchor the Light amidst the chaos that is swirling around the Collective. May we build a new paradigm together, one soul at a time. Blessed be.

Our cards today are Net Caster, Towering Magnificence, Bright Heart Light, and Elves. All that we have been preparing for, all the plans, the details, everything that has been set in motion is coming to fruition. The time to act is now. Waiting too long, we become ensnared. It’s time to act. It’s time to take the step, make the move.

Reach out, connect. Everything is connection. Connection to ourselves, to our spirit, to each other, to our community. To open the heart. To remain a beacon of that bright heart light. To connect with the towering magnificence of divinity. Of ourselves as embodied divinity. There is no other time than now. This moment. This space. This time.

We are the ones we have been waiting for. There is no one coming to save us but ourselves. But we must take action. We must remember that we have everything we need within us. Everything that we require resides inside of us already. It is time to act. It is time to reach one another,

to reach out for one another, to look after one another in true community, to see beyond the difference, to see beyond the outward shell, to know that within each of us is the same soul. We are one. We are connected. It is the heart light that connects us. It is the essence of divine spark that connects us.

We are but drops in an ocean of divinity. And it feels daunting. It feels enormous. It feels like an insurmountable task to find each other amidst the chaos. But it is our joy that will lead us home. Our joy is our greatest act of defiance. Our joy is our greatest act of connection. Seek the joy,

find the joy, not in something that isolates you or keeps you in your silo, but to find the joy of connection, of community, of play, of innocence, of hope. Don’t lose sight of it. Don’t lose sight of your innocence, of our collective innocence,

even as it is ripped from us, even as the forces of chaos attempt to steal our joy. Protect it. Protect it with all the strength of your heart. And so it is.

  • Today Feels Really F’ing Hard

Today feels really f*****g hard. My heart is heavy, and I just want to curl up and withdraw from this increasingly fucked up timeline. Part of me is screaming “I did not sign up for this”, while another part of me knows that yes, in fact, I did. My soul carries all the strength, the gifts, the talents that are necessary for these dystopian times. My old bones are feeling less confident, however. I know that much of what I am feeling is coming from outside of me. The Irish say “sadness is upon me”, which sums up my experience of it. Often the collective energy slips over me like a shroud of feelings, sadness and anger that swirl around my heart in an ineffable gauzy haze. Today I am feeling it hard. The vague sense of impending doom that just won’t relent, casting a pall over a beautiful, albeit excruciatingly hot, sunny Luxor day. Even the sight of camels grazing in the field outside of my home hasn’t cut through the fog.

Living away from the day to day madness that is America right now gives me both a different perspective and an internal voice that tells me I have no right to speak about it because I left. Seeing the chaos through the eyes of the rest of the world, understanding their incomprehension of how people could possibly have supported, or worse yet, still support the destructive and rank corruption, has only served to increase the altitude by which I observe the unfolding s**t show. When I stay in the detail of it, in the cruelty baked into policy, the casual and callous disregard of anyone deemed other, and the hypocritical platitudes about being a “Christian nation”, I am thankful that I live in a place where alcohol is not readily available, because it all makes me want to drink copious amounts of wine and watch Netflix. That is the peril of living through the collapse of a paradigm - how do we continue to hold fast to our center as the whirlwind of chaos increases in strength and scope? For me it has always been to either dissociate via creature comforts, or to anchor in my own embodiment. And as alluring as a good Cabernet is, it is my spiritual practice that leads me back to a place of internal safety, where I can discard the shroud and step back into the light of my own luminosity again. As I gaze at my altar, the oracle card that ended my reading this morning catches my eye. The Phoenix, rising once again from the ashes of an old identity, transmuted by flame into an unencumbered iteration of Self.

My soul knew it was time to leave what was familiar and begin again, to embark on this journey into a less shackled way of being. I know firsthand how difficult it is to birth something new into a world that is fracturing under the weight of its own hubris, into systems that ensnare us within the old paradigm - systems that, by design, do not support our success, our autonomy, our vision for a new world. Yet so many of us are holding the line - showing up in our creativity, our passion, our purpose and joy. Only light defeats the darkness, and joy is our greatest act of resistance. So I will go brave the 105F temperature, sit out on the roof deck, and watch a small scorn of camels whose presence returns me to my own innocence, my own childish delight at their Being. I will discard the heavy shroud under the setting Egyptian sun, reminded that everything that ends begins again, in the eternal cycle of the cosmos. And for all of us striving to birth a better world, to offer meaningful expressions of ourselves into the collective so we all may evolve - steady on. Often when I feel the heaviness, it is the Light burning its way through. My prayer is to be engulfed once again, and emerge unencumbered.

    Blessed be.

  • My Bitten Tongue

I’m not sure there was a day in my childhood when I was not told to either count to ten or to bite my tongue. My moon is in Aries, and it certainly explains my exceedingly short fuse and somewhat volatile temper, a temper I spent much of my young life learning to “control”. I doubt my parents knew much about how the suppression of anger works - it either stays held in the body, or comes out sideways, raging at everything except the source of the anger. As I’ve now entered my unbothered era, I’m no longer biting my tongue.

Too many women suppress their voice for an illusion of safety, believing proximity to power can provide protection, or that comfort requires a degree of compliance. We are seeing in real time the illusion of those misbeliefs. Comfort is a complicity, full stop. And after the circular firing squad of power takes out everything on the periphery, it hones in on what is closest to it. The only real protections we have are our Voice and our connection to each other. This is our true power. A whisper offered to soothe a child, a scream rending the silence to jolt the complacent into action, a song spontaneously combusting from the joy of a moment too big for mere words - this is the emanation of our frequency, of the resonance of Self we all carry within.

A few years ago, I wrote a Purpose Manifesto as part of a leadership program I was attending. The words I wrote then still stand:

I believe we are part of a dynamic cosmic symphony of profound connection, harmony and interdependence,

And we experience our place in this cosmic dance by witnessing one another. We recognize both our shared humanity and our divinity when we are truly seen and heard.

But we drown our own voices in discord and distraction, and we entrench ourselves in echo chambers of our own beliefs and perspectives. We are unable to recognize our individual gifts and our collective potential because of this chaos and isolation.

I am called to bring us out of chaos and isolation—to define a new way of Being that honors our soul’s essence, illuminates our gifts, and empowers us to embrace the vision of each soul’s potential.

I have an extraordinary ability to see beyond what is visible, to hear the messages held in silence, and to bring discord into resonance. I am a conduit between what is seen and unseen, between the cosmic and the earthly, between the past and future.

I am committed to using these gifts to bring forth a sacred conscious ecosystem where magic thrives—where each soul is heard as a crystal clear note in our cosmic symphony.

Read this again - we drown our own voices in discord and distraction, and we entrench ourselves in echo chambers of our own beliefs and perspectives. We are unable to recognize our individual gifts and our collective potential because of this chaos and isolation. Sound familiar? We have been in this cycle now for far too long, and frankly, we are circling the drain. So how do we stop the drowning? We identify the inherited noise within, silence it, and say what we are meant to say. We reach for each other with clarity and compassion, saying what is real for us without qualification or softening the message to be more palatable.

Navigating the inherited noise is one of the core aspects of what I teach, and along with the unvarnished truth, it is a through line in all of my offerings. It is the bridge we first need to cross to reach the unvarnished truth. Which is why I have renamed this publication. The Unvarnished Truth is the medicine needed for the moment we are living through, and it is the frequency that calls us forward. It felt important to me to share with all of you the shift in landscape that I am experiencing. I no longer occupy the space of simply musing about wisdom and wonder. I am called to a deeper ministry in this moment. I trust you will join me there.

    Much love.

  • The Framework Underneath

I am not a priestess of Isis. I have never been “initiated” into anything. My ancestry is about as non-Egyptian as it gets — wildly caucasian, with Celtic roots, Irish and Scottish by blood. I was called to this land for reasons as yet not fully revealed. One thing is clear — I am not here to cosplay the goddess. I know better.

I am a custodian of these energies, a conduit. That’s a different job entirely. It doesn’t come with finery, or fanfare, or a lineage I get to claim simply because I moved here. When I’m in a temple and something activates in me — a sound, a frequency, a hum that moves both within me and through me — I give it safe passage. I let it form and flow, accepting the gift it offers and understanding it is not mine to hold. I am simply honoring my responsibility to that which isn’t mine to keep.

I’ve been low-key about my spiritual framework for a long time. Not because I didn’t have one — I was just tired of who I always seemed to offend. The ascension acolytes, the light-code legion. The ones who show up assuming, before they know a single thing about me, that I’m the one who needs their teaching. Even my website, built to reflect all of my offerings, only gestures at it. The readings, the mentoring, the courses — they’ve been floating without the framework underneath them ever being named out loud. An old pattern of self-censorship, dressed up as safety.

    So here it is.

I believe we are divine beings having a human experience. I bear witness to our embodied Divinity, our divine Humanity. This isn’t a catchy spiritual meme to me. It’s a foundational tenet — witnessed in myself, and in every soul who’s sat across from me, seeking what was never lost. It was simply hidden within the gilded cage of a life they were expected to live.

I believe ascension is real, and that almost everyone currently talking about it has it backwards. Ascension is not a flight path off the planet. “Chosen” beings are not popping off to 5D while the rest of us stay behind. Ascension is not above you. It is within you. The way up is in — into the soul, the mind, the emotional body, into the very patterns you inherited and never chose to carry. That’s the spiral that leads us back home, back to Self. The only way is through.

I believe in the ego, not as the enemy, but as the thing that keeps you alive long enough to become anything at all. A healthy ego isn’t something to dissolve — it’s something to trust. It’s the part of you with a voice, an idea, a stake in your own life. Divinity never asks you to abandon your humanity. It asks you to fully embody it.

I believe the patriarchy and the matriarchy are just different answers to the same old wrong question. It is not a question of who belongs in charge. The work is not about a changing of the guard — it’s about integration, the sacred masculine and the divine feminine woven back into a single unified field, within every one of us, regardless of gender. Until that happens within each of us, it will not happen in the world, no matter which “side” is currently running the show. As within, so without.

I believe in discernment, in healthy inquiry. If you tell me you’ve received light codes, my first question is always going to be: from where? Through what lineage? Sourced from whom? I trust teachings carried hand to hand across generations. I trust them considerably more than the ones sold in a course by a person three months into their own awakening. That framing — the light codes, the chosen ones, the rising above — sadly is often just performative spiritual b******t masking a lack of true self knowledge. I don’t say that to be condescending or superior. I say it because I’ve been in rooms with people so enthralled by their own specialness that they couldn’t land in their true presence, and I’ve witnessed what it costs them. Ungrounded, spiritual bypassing keeps us locked in a devastating loop of searching outside of ourself for the next dopamine hit of “special,” the latest and greatest spiritual fix.

I believe that one of the most important aspects of my job as a spiritual mentor is to know when to get out of the way. To empty myself and let what needs to come through, come through — without deciding in advance what the message should say, or who it should please. I don’t direct it. I am a conduit of a greater, infinite wisdom. I shepherd it through, and in doing so, bear witness. My lived experience grounds me in my humanity as I access a deeper, universal Divinity.

This is the framework underneath everything I offer — the numerology, the readings, the mentoring, the courses. This is not a modality I picked up along the way. It is a worldview, built on a Master’s in Spiritual Psychology, confirmed by every year I’ve lived in this body, and most recently by the enlivened energies of Luxor. Evolution of consciousness, not escape from it. Witnessing, not fixing. Recognizing that every soul arrives here whole, and requires remembering, not rescuing.

If you’ve ever sat in a room full of people chasing 5D and felt quietly unconvinced — you are not behind. If you’ve ever been told your ego needed dissolving and felt something in you object — trust that objection. If talk of ascension has always felt more like an escape route than a homecoming, you are closer to your Self than you realize.

    Much love.

If this is the framework you've been circling without a name for it, join me for The Unvarnished Truth webinar at 12PM EST on August 27th. A seventy-five minute interactive conversation with the spaciousness to experience your inner landscape, name the inherited noise, and practice speaking in your own sovereign voice. It's also your doorway into Soul Awakening, the six-week container where this work comes to life, with our next cohort starting September 9th. I look forward to seeing you there. Blessed be.

  • The Cage I Finally Outgrew

I awoke today with a profound sense of being untethered, as if I’d fallen asleep on a raft, gentle waves cradling me, safely secured by my mooring, and yet somehow arose to the endless expanse of sea and horizon surrounding me. Still afloat, with my vessel under me, but in deep and unknown waters. After an initial gasp of realization at being adrift, unaware of how to control my trajectory, the deep peace of surrender has taken root. In reality, I am sitting on the roof deck at my home, overlooking the lush fields of Luxor’s West Bank. Two white horses graze in the field, while farmers till the soil and the ever faithful Ibis offer their support. The morning heat seeps into my bones, encouraging the languid calm that engulfs me. My sense of being unmoored remains, even as I sip another coffee and decide to think about deciding.

What is it in our nature that demands life be routine and predictable, adhering to our calendar as if our schedule is the most sacred assurance of our safety? Why do we willingly shrink ourselves to fit lives that we constantly evolve out of, yet to which we remain tethered? I knew four years before I moved to Egypt that my life was too small, that every trapping - my beautiful home, filled with crystals and oracle cards, books and artwork, all manner of beauty and comfort - every area of my life to which I gave over my energy, was slipping out of alignment. My mother had been my anchor to Massachusetts, and I knew that accompanying her through the end of her life was part of my soul’s contract. After she left her physical body in 2019, it was as if my main mooring line had been cut. There were other lines that remained, holding me in place, all deeply meaningful, yet with a lesser grip. My soul was yearning for some as yet unnamed, unspoken guidance, and with each trip abroad, the foundations of the illusion of my own stability were cracking. Egypt was the siren’s song that both set me free, and called me home. My arrival here was a sigh of relief. Yet after a lifetime in the West, I had more baggage to unpack than I thought.

As the vestiges of my life in America drop away, so do the shackles of smallness, the chains of complacency that once held me captive in the life I’d built. The beautifully color coded calendar that used to dictate my days is now a study in white space, a visual representation of the freedom to set my own tempo, to move as the day takes me. I’ve always been disciplined, so sitting down to work is never an issue. Allowing the flow of life in Luxor to guide me, rather than imposing old thought forms of productivity onto my day, has proven to be a pathway to an even deeper Knowing, accessing a profound creativity that percolated beneath the surface of my life, bound and unexpressed. From that well of inspiration I have re-envisioned my work life, focusing on the spiritual teaching that fills my heart while allowing my self imposed bonds of identity to drop away. For decades I identified as “accountant”, and my profession was a garment I wore until it was threadbare and barely covering me. I had long outgrown it when Divine intervention made clear it had no place in my luggage for this journey. I realize now how the alleged safety of my profession, of that identity, had become a cage. I traded my precious time for a salary, my brilliance for external validation, and my energy for the illusion of safety. When those elements were removed, all I carried was my creativity, my passion, and my Knowing, tucked neatly in my carry-on. I realize now it was all I had ever needed. My days are now guided by inspiration, by full presence to the life unfolding around me, and to the simplicity of living without expectation. I am living a deeper question now.

Who are we when we finally free ourselves of these self imposed bonds? That is what I am here to help us find out.

    Much love.
