Humans are interesting creatures. Many of us are convinced that the stories we tell about ourselves are absolute. Maybe it is true…identity is a summation of the stories we tell about ourselves, and each retelling, morphed by experience and interpretation, etches us closer to who we think we are. It is a privilege nonetheless to yield the power of self-determination in free political systems. Not everyone is so blessed. We must not squander the honor we have. In sharing our stories with others, there is a possibility for mosaic activity, for cultivating community. Join us in civic engagement and dialogue as we celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion.
