Chief Sanchez discusses a $296,000 Community Wildfire Risk Reduction grant from the office of the Oregon State Fire Marshal that will pay for helping residents of Grants Pass create defensible space around their homes to help protect against wildfire. Residents wishing to participate in the defensible space program can send an email to [email protected], or call 541-450-6200. Application will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and will focus on the most at-risk areas in the city.
Councilor Krohn gives an update from the latest City Council meeting, as well as brief updates about Parker’s Place and the Owl Plaza.
