Episode four looks at chapter 3, where we have the principles discussed in chapter 2 applied to the life of communities and society as a whole.
In this episode, I start by sharing a story about a very embarrassing moment in my past, along with some words from the TTC I wish I had heard back then. The rest of the content is divided into two parts:
1. Rethinking what (and who) we value - the danger of focusing too much on "success" and earthly possessions
2. The "wise person/Master" as both ideal leader and a model for living counter-culturally, challenging the systems of idolatry and scapegoating that fuel our society
I also share two poems I have written that directly relate to these themes. Thanks so much for listening! Don't forget to subscribe and share!
