Jesus has chosen His Apostles (Luke 6:12-16), revealed the kind of people He draws to Himself (v.17), demonstrated His power (v.18), and demonstrates His purpose to reverse the curse of the Fall of humanity (v.19). Now, Jesus unveils the way the Kingdom of God operates—standing in stark contrast to the values and mindset of earthly empires and human systems.
