“But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you”

The call was to “rise”. The first thing Paul had to do was get up. He couldn’t see though. He had been blinded by the bright appearance of the Lord. Even though he couldn’t see anything he had to get up off the ground. How did he respond? He got up. He couldn’t see anything but he got up. Paul responded the right way.
