In a significant shift from previous decades, the U.S. government has recently adopted a more transparent and proactive stance on the investigation of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), commonly referred to as UFOs. This change is marked by the establishment of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which aims to minimize technological and intelligence surprises by detecting, identifying, and mitigating UAP incidents near national security areas.
