The U.S. Welfare State: Proposed Socialist Programs Enslaves Minorities

Podcast 122

The total amount spent on the 80-plus federal welfare programs amounts to roughly $1.03 trillion per year. The American taxpayer has, for years, been funding enslavement of its own people. Democrat candidates for president want to expand this current spending form $1.03 trillion to over $10 trillion per year. But will this actually help or hurt minorities? Podcast 122 will discuss The U.S. welfare state and how proposed socialist programs by Democrat candidates enslave minorities in America.

The History of Social Minority Enslavement

Slavery in America is a blackeye on this great nation. No doubt, we have parts of our history that we are not proud of. Enslavement of groups of people is wrong no matter how you spin it. While slavery ended in America after the civil war, a new form of slavery has taken place. Socialist programs that exist in today’s government has enslaved several generations.

Democrat candidates for president have been quick to offer programs that they describe would create “equality” and “justice” for minorities. When studying the topic, I found that social programs have done the opposite. The social welfare programs that were put into place are just a continuation of historical slavery in America.

While no one is in physical chains, they do find themselves in psychological and moral chains. If you disagree with the U.S. welfare state, and you are of a certain race, you are an “outcast.” To defy what has occurred for generations makes you a modern-day, “Uncle Tom.” But when learning the facts, anyone can see the freedom they gain for being against such social programs.

Fatherless Homes Created by the U.S. Welfare State

The first problem with the U.S. welfare state is a practice that was taking place during slavery. Slaves were not allowed to enter into contracts. Therefore marriage was not legal for slaves since it is considered a contract. That being said, male slaves were stripped away from their homes for breeding purposes. This created a society of fatherless homes.

The absence of fathers in the home is detrimental to any society. Let me give you an example. If a young black man comes from a house with a strong present father in the home, he is 90% more likely to graduate high school. Those with highly involved fathers were 42 percent more likely to earn A’s. The statistics do not lie. Having a male presence in the home creates success, not a social program.

Much like slavery, the “Great Society” and other social programs that were rolled out in the 1960s was a destroyer of homes. In 1960, 22 percent of black children lived with single parents. In 2017, 68% of black children lived in a single-parent home. Common sense will tell you that social programs in the U.S. social state are not working.
