“Into Thin Air: Cranes in Flight” was commissioned by the Woman’s Citizenship Club of Alamosa and is a tribute both to the majestic Sandhill Cranes that frequent the Valley each year and to the sculptor and Valley native, Jocelyn Russell. We are joined by Mary Russell, sister-in-law to the artist, and one of the forces behind the Woman’s Citizenship Club’s effort to bring a Russell sculpture to Alamosa.
